Mary Eberstadt, “one of the most acute and creative social observers of our time,” (Francis Fukuyama) shines a much-needed spotlight on a disturbing trend in American society: discrimination against traditional religious belief and believers, who are being aggressively pushed out of public life by the concerted efforts of militant secularists. In It’s Dangerous to Believe, Mary Eberstadt documents how people of faith—especially Christians who adhere to traditional religious beliefs—face widespread discrimination in today’s increasingly secular society. Eberstadt details how recent laws, court decisions, and intimidation on campuses and elsewhere threaten believers who fear losing their jobs, their communities, and their basic freedoms solely because of their convictions. They fear that their religious universities and colleges will capitulate to aggressive secularist demands. They fear that they and their families will be ostracized or will have to lose their religion because of mounting social and financial penalties for believing. They fear they won’t be able to maintain charitable operations that help the sick and feed the hungry. Is this what we want for our country? Religious freedom is a fundamental right, enshrined in the First Amendment. With It’s Dangerous to Believe Eberstadt calls attention to this growing bigotry and seeks to open the minds of secular liberals whose otherwise good intentions are transforming them into modern inquisitors. Not until these progressives live up to their own standards of tolerance and diversity, she reminds us, can we build the inclusive society America was meant to be.

"The Summa Theologica is the best-known work of Italian philosopher, scholar, and Dominican friar SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS (1225 1274), widely considered the Catholic Church s greatest theologian. Famously consulted (immediately after the Bible) on religious questions at the Council of Trent, Aquinas s masterpiece has been considered a summary of official Church philosophy ever since. Aquinas considers approximately 10,000 questions on Church doctrine covering the roles and nature of God, man, and Jesus, then lays out objections to Church teachings and systematically confronts each, using Biblical verses, theologians, and philosophers to bolster his arguments. In Volume III, Aquinas addresses: faith and heresy charity peace and war mercy, anger, and justice prayer truth and much more. This massive work of scholarship, spanning five volumes, addresses just about every possible query or argument that any believer or atheist could have, and remains essential, more than seven hundred years after it was written, for clergy, religious historians, and serious students of Catholic thought."

Mark Noll has written a major indictment of American evangelicalism. Reading this book, one wonders if the evangelical movement has pandered so much to American culture and tried to be so popular only to lose not only it's mind but it's soul as well. Just as the then president of the United States, Barack Obama, wrote on May 16th, 2013 on his Twitter account: "Ninety-seven percent of scientists agree that climate change is real, man-made and dangerous ", so the title of this book extracts the idea from that famous tweet, though the reality is that there is no such consensus of 97% of scientists that climate change is man-made and dangerous, though this message has been transmitted for decades by the mainstream media constantly and continuously, which has made it over time, without us realizing of it, an unquestionable truth accepted by the majority of the population. The theory of global warming or now called climate change, is simply one of the dogmas of a globalist agenda imposed by supranational entities to achieve their goals, and it is really this agenda that is real, man-made and dangerous.People who do not believe in the dangerous global warming theory are often branded as deniers, whereas those who believe in the existence of a New World Order imposed on nations as conspiracy believer people, but the truth is that the existence of this agenda and his not very good intentions are increasingly out of the question. Thus, the famous billionaire, David Rockefeller, a member of several globalist entities founded in the 20th century, including the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg Club and the Trilateral Commission, stated in his "Memoirs" book published in 2002: "Some even believe we (the Rockefeller family) are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."So from this statement we get two basic ideas: the first is that the globalist agenda exists, and second that it goes against the interests of sovereign nations, which of course indicates that its intentions are not very good.As if it were not enough proof of the existence of the globalist agenda, in 2020 at the World Economic Forum website it has been published openly and widely on the need for a Great political, economic and social world Reset, obviously imposed without counting on the opinion of ordinary citizens, and the need to take advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis to further promote this great imposed global restart. In addition to man-made global warming, there are other dogmas in the globalist agenda in order to achieve its objectives, such as abortion, euthanasia, massive and uncontrolled migration, the legalization of drug trade, trafficking and consumption, etc. that mainly respond to two objectives of the globalist agenda: the reduction of the world population especially through the promotion of abortion and euthanasia, and the progressive erosion of the values of western democratic nations such as the family, along with the erosion of their national culture and identity, and the emptying of the sovereignty and authority of the national governments that will be transferred to globalist entities, for example through massive and uncontrolled migration or the legalization of drug trafficking and consumption. You might think that these elites who are imposing this agenda have good intentions deep down, since abortion, euthanasia, LGTBIQ + ideology, etc. are presented and defended as human rights of the people. However, these elites are not really interested in defending these rights, but only in what they can achieve with them: subverting the political, social and economic order of the nations in order to justify and achieve a new imposed world order. So the proof that the intentions of these elites are not really the defense of these rights, is that they try to impose an agenda which they have not been voted for.

Resume:

Do we belong to the Earth or does the Earth belong to us? The question raised by Chief Seathl almost two centuries ago continues to be the defining quandary of the wet, wild rainforests along the shores of the Pacific Northwest. It seethes below the tides of the fictional town of Good River Harbor, a little village pressed against the mountains—homeland to bears, whales, and a few weather–worn families. In Piano Tide, the debut novel by award–winning naturalist, philosopher, activist and author Kathleen Dean Moore, we are introduced to town father Axel Hagerman, who has made a killing in this remote Alaskan harbor by selling off the spruce, the cedar, the herring and halibut. But when he decides to export the water from a salmon stream, he runs head–long into young Nora Montgomery, just arrived on the ferry with her piano and her dog. Nora has burned her bridges in the lower 48, and she aims to disappear into this new homeland, with her piano as her anchor. But when Axel's next business proposition, a bear pit, turns lethal, Nora has to act. The clash, when it comes, is a spectacular and transformative act of resistance.
